Our Core Values
At Altitude Veterinary Hospital, we strive to provide A Higher Level of Care in all that we do. This is something that we want to have live in us down to our core. To help guide us in this, we have developed four Core Values that we have chosen to live by. They were developed by all of our Team Members within the Practice so that we could capture and embody the true essence of what this means to us. Our Core Values are as follows.
Integrity – In all that we do we believe everyone should always do what is right, even when no one is looking or maybe around to see what is being done. This includes owning up to our mistakes so that we may all learn and grow from them and taking action when we see a need. By living with Integrity, we will achieve the following:
- Increase overall trust from those around us
- Increase the faith and dependability we have in our fellow Team Members
- Ensure a strong foundational work ethic within the Practice
Empathy – Within the Veterinary Industry, one will work with many different pets and their owners leading to a myriad of personalities and situations. We believe that it is important to not only show sympathy for the circumstances our Clients find themselves in but true Empathy. To the best of our ability, we always strive to place ourselves in the shoes of the client. Working with Empathy, we believe that will lead to the following:
- A better understanding of what A Higher Level of Care means to each of our Clients as an individual
- Fewer frustrations for the Client as they will feel better understood for their current situation
- The ability for Team Members to provide care with greater ease due to a better understanding of what the Client is going through and their desired result
Communication – Integrity, and Empathy cannot come without Communication. Without strong Communication, everything will fall apart. We believe that in all we do, Communication should always be a focal point. Strong Communication, we believe will lead to the following:
- Dissemination of mission-critical information leading to higher-quality work
- The lowering of stress due to a better understanding of that which compiles your day
- Higher efficiency through the knowledge of what is happening within as well as outside of your work sphere and their potential impacts
Kindness – At the end of the day, everything should stem from Kindness. If your heart is in the right place, it is hard to go wrong. Living in Kindness, we believe will lead to the following:
- A happier Team, leads to happier Clients, resulting in happier pets
- The strengthening of our other Core Values
- Ensuring we are truly providing A Higher Level of Care
