About the Role

Altitude Veterinary Hospital provides a higher level of care for small pets. At Altitude, we understand that our pets are more than just pets, they are family. In addition to being AAHA accredited, we provide a wide range of services including specialty services such as acupuncture and TPLO’s. Altitude Veterinary Hospital is looking to add an experienced veterinary assistant to its fantastic team.  As a veterinary assistant, you already know what it takes to be a successful veterinary professional. Some of the key qualities we are looking for with this opportunity include:

  • Able to work both independently (self-starter) and as a team player
  • Follows directions but is also able to think outside of the box and propose new ideas

  • Detail-oriented, focused, and diligent 

 

Some of the responsibilities of this role include:

 

  • Daily maintenance of exam rooms including cleaning, stocking, and organizing
  • Cleaning and maintenance of working areas including tables, counters, and other work areas
  • Assisting Veterinary Assistants and Certified Technicians with check sheet duties
  • Helping restrain pets when needed
  • Ensure patients have their food, water, and walks as needed or directed by a Veterinary Assistant, Certified Technician or Doctor
  • Under the guidance of Veterinary Assistants and Certified Technicians, keep an eye/ear out for nail trims and suture removals
  • Proactively find tasks that can assist their fellow Team Members
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
